The desk: a truly functional workspace

For a desk to be functional, it must have certain essential characteristics such as a work surface. Indeed, it is on top of your wooden desk that you or your child will place most of your belongings (computer, notebook, binder, pencil holders…) It must also have additional storage space under the top such as drawers, shelves or a cabinet.

Choose a stylish desk adapted to the room's decor

If you choose to install the desk in your teenager's bedroom, you must make sure it matches the decoration of their room. A teenager's bedroom plays a very important role in their personal development, which is why it is important to know how to decorate it.

Our wooden desks can be installed against the wall or under a loft bed to save space in the bedroom. While a desk is primarily used as a work surface, that doesn't mean its design should be overlooked.

If on the contrary, you wish to dedicate a special room to your desk, choose furniture with materials and finishes that reflect well the spirit you wish to give it. Depending on the style of the desk, but also the room, you can add a beautiful stylish and comfortable chair. Black and white go very well with wood, but nothing prevents you from adding a touch of color with a lamp or shelves for example. Don't forget to add a wardrobe or storage cabinets to add volume and more storage space to your room.

At Chambrekids, we know how difficult it can sometimes be to furnish a room, so we have designed desks in different styles and different materials for you. We notably use MDF reconstituted wood panels, multi-ply birch panels or even solid beech for the legs.

Eco-friendly wooden desks made in France

All our desks are made in France, within our factory located in Charente Maritime. All the wood we use is PEFC certified and comes from sustainably managed forests. Our wooden furniture is also covered with water-based paint without solvents or VOCs, a material that is not harmful to health or the environment.
