There comes a certain age when children need change and express the need to have a “grown-up bed”. The transition from a small child's bed to a 90x190 cm bed can prove difficult and one can quickly become lost regarding the choices available.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHILDREN'S BEDS?

It can be difficult to know which child's bed to choose for their bedroom. At Chambrekids, you will therefore find different categories of children's beds to satisfy everyone's needs and tastes. The 90x190 cm child's bed

The 90x190 cm child's bed is the standard model, it is a single bed. Your child can use it as soon as they are able to get in and out of their bed alone and as soon as they are ready to sleep in a larger bed. The main advantage of the 90x190 cm child's bed is its longevity. Indeed, this child's bed can accompany them until their teenage years. 90x190 cm beds can also work very well as adult beds. However, if your child doesn't feel completely comfortable in a large bed yet, there are convertible children's beds. These are generally 90x140 cm beds to which an extension is added to transform them into 90x190 cm beds.

The trundle bed

The trundle bed is a model more suitable for children's bedrooms that don't have a lot of space and for children who like to have guests. The principle of the trundle bed is simple: it is a bed that has a drawer under the box spring containing a second retractable bed. It therefore allows you to set up and store a second sleeping space with ease. There are also different types of trundle beds, such as trundle beds with storage or daybed trundle beds.

The loft bed

Another choice available to you in your quest for a child's bed: the loft bed. The loft bed is extremely successful with pre-teens and teenagers. It generally has a 90x190 cm sleeping space and an empty area underneath. A real space saver, the loft bed offers many layout possibilities. Just as choosing a child's bed is important, the choice of mattress is equally important. We know that children's skin is particularly sensitive, so they need a healthy mattress that preserves their health. It is therefore necessary to favor mattresses made from natural and eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton or bamboo fibers for example.

It is also important to pay attention to the origin of mattresses, which is why labels such as Oeko-Tex or Certipur exist, which guarantee product quality. At Chambrekids, we have chosen to work with a French mattress manufacturer located not far from our factory. All our mattresses, such as the 90x190x16 Airsens mattress, are manufactured in France from natural and eco-friendly materials. You will also find the 90x190 Airsens mattress in many of our children's bed packages.

CHILDREN'S BED PACKAGES MADE IN FRANCE

Our children's bed packages have been designed for you and your children. We have combined our expertise in furniture manufacturing for children's bedrooms with the quality of our partner's mattresses. At Chambrekids, French craftsmanship is one of our priorities, which is why all the beds in our packages are made in France.

More than that, all our children's beds, like the rest of our furniture, are manufactured in our factory in Charente Maritime. 90x190 cm beds, trundle beds, bunk beds or loft beds, they have all been designed in eco-friendly materials. Indeed, all our beds are made from reconstituted wood panels that are PEFC certified. You can also find other materials such as oak, birch, pine or beech, all from sustainably managed forests.

Always concerned about your children's health and the environment, we have chosen to paint our children's beds with water-based paint that contains neither solvents nor VOCs. You will therefore notice when opening your packages that this paint has no odor.

Our packages are wrapped in recycled and recyclable cardboard boxes. At Chambrekids, we actively participate in waste recovery!
