If you are buying new bedding for your child or for you as parents, you will find different models of bed bases in stores. The upholstered box spring with springs that rests on its 5 legs and fits inside a bed frame or simply remains visible in the bedroom. You also have the choice of a slatted bed base which, not being equipped with legs, rests on the bed frame. At Chambrekids, our quality slatted bed bases consist of a very resistant metal frame and several flexible wooden slats that fit into plastic end caps. The slats are made of multi-ply wood for more cushioning, so our bed bases can support a person weighing up to 100 kilos maximum.

The slatted bed base is positioned either on the side cleats located inside the bed frame or on the metal support bars located in the 4 corners of the bed.

How to choose your bed base according to the child's bed model.

It is important to know the sleeping dimensions of the child's bed in order to choose your slatted bed base correctly. Indeed, if you have a 90x190 bed cm for example, you will need to choose a 90x190 cm bed base, same for a 90x200 cm bed.
