When adolescence comes, the unbridled growth of some children can be spectacular. You should therefore prepare for it with the acquisition of a teen bed. Faced with the wide choice available to you, here is our advice for selecting your teen bed.

When to buy the teen bed?

Children's growth is not linear, but experiences sometimes striking spurts during which the skeleton seems to gain centimeters at a crazy pace. Note that character and state of mind are also unpredictable, which suddenly plunges the child into the famous "teenage crisis"! You weren't expecting it?... Neither were they.

The 90x190 teen bed is sufficient for many teenagers. It is suitable for bedrooms that lack a bit of space, but it still provides all the necessary comfort.

If your teenager shares their room with a brother or sister, the 90x190 teen bed optimizes space and keeps more room to move around in the bedroom. 

However, you must consider your child's morphology and project into the future. If both parents are quite tall or if your child has a good chance of becoming taller than average, they may feel cramped in a 90x190 teen bed. Boys naturally tend to be taller than girls, but this is not always the case.

The 90x200 teen bed remains quite narrow, which allows not to encroach too much on the living part of the bedroom. However, its length of 2 meters allows you to be comfortable if your teenager becomes quite tall.

If you estimate that your child will grow beyond average height, you have every interest in directly buying a 90x200 teen bed. A 90x190 teen bed may quickly become too short, which will force you to buy a new one.
