Why choose a children's loft bed?
If the loft bed for children has many advantages, its main benefit is the space-saving it provides. With a loft bed, you maximize the ceiling height, which allows you to gain a very interesting surface area in your child's room. The free space under your child's bed allows you to organize the space as you wish, according to your desires and needs. Your child will have the opportunity to store their belongings if you choose to install a small dresser, but they can also create a play area, relaxation space, or work area.
By using the room's height, you preserve the floor space and can thus arrange other furniture to have a complete children's room.
The space under the loft bed allows your child to create their own universe and let their imagination run free. By accessorizing it with a sheet and cushions for example, your child will see their loft bed transform into a real little cabin. They can put their toys, books, stuffed animals, and other accessories there that will accompany them in all their adventures.
For example, the London White loft bed is a convertible model that grows with your child, while ensuring safety and comfort.
And if your child needs a space to work, you can then create a desk area under the bed. We invite you to discover our loft beds with integrated desk.

Loft bed or mid-height loft bed?
A loft bed is an excellent way to save space in a child's room. These beds are generally twice as high as a normal bed, making them perfect for small bedrooms. Several models of elevated beds exist, it is not always easy to make your choice.
The loft bed is an elevated bed that offers you a free space underneath. You can place a desk there for example or simply create a play or relaxation area for your child.
The mid-height bed is a low loft bed. It is less high than the classic loft bed. This type of bed is preferable when your child is still a little too young for a loft bed. Just like the loft bed, you can fit storage or desk space underneath to save space.
The choice between these 2 bed models depends on your child. If they are over 6 years old and can get in and out of their bed independently using a ladder, you can then opt for a classic loft bed. Otherwise, favor the mid-height loft bed in the meantime.
If your child is still young, opt for a mid-height bed, which offers more safety. On the other hand, a classic loft bed will be better suited for older children and teenagers. 90x190 or 90x200 children's loft bed?
The children's loft bed saves space in a room. But what size loft bed to choose: a 90x190cm loft bed or a 90x200cm loft bed?
You will find in the vast majority, in our shop as elsewhere, loft beds in 90x190 cm. This is the standard bed size for a child, whether it's elevated beds or classic beds. Nevertheless, to meet a growing demand linked to the evolution of children's and teenagers' height, we have developed a 90x200 cm children's loft bed. Discover our Nomade 90x200 Loft bed.
How to secure a loft bed?
French manufacturer for over 40 years, we have made children's safety our priority. Each of our beds complies with all safety standards in force in France. We have also implemented strict production control of our furniture and regularly conduct resistance tests. These are carried out by independent control organizations. Nevertheless, we would like to remind you of good practices regarding an elevated bed to ensure absolute safety for your child.
Whether it's a bunk bed, a mid-height bed, or as here a loft bed, your child must be 6 years old to sleep in it. Make sure the bed's guardrail is high enough (guard height of 16 cm from the mattress) and favor a suitable mattress to fully secure your loft bed. Of course, we invite you to rigorously follow all the assembly steps found in the instructions.

What age to sleep in a loft bed?
Elevated beds are recommended for children over 6 years old. If your child is still a little young, our convertible loft bed is then the ideal bed. You first assemble it as a low bed so they feel reassured, then a few years later when they are ready to sleep in an elevated bed, transform it into a mid-height bed and then into a loft bed. Please note, this type of elevated bed is not suitable for a baby.
If there is a minimum age, there is no maximum. Indeed, the loft bed is also suitable for teenagers and adults. It is therefore a long-term investment.
All our loft beds comply with French and European safety standards. For example, the Palerme loft bed with desk and storage combines safety, comfort, and functionality.

Modular loft beds
Do you want to opt for a loft bed or a bunk bed but are afraid that your children will get tired of it or that this style will no longer suit them in a few years? Choose a modular loft bed. Our convertible children's loft bed can be used in several ways: as a classic loft bed, as a bunk bed, and you can then transform it into 2 simple children's beds.
Your children can thus sleep in the same room when they are young and then switch to separate rooms in the future, all without having to change beds. A clever, economical, and sustainable solution.
