The choice of bed for your child depends primarily on their age. Each stage of growth requires suitable, secure, and convertible sleeping arrangements for the children's room.

From 2 years old, children can leave their baby bed for a transition bed. On our dedicated page 2-year-old children's bed, you will discover low and secure beds, often equipped with side rails, promoting autonomy while reassuring parents. The house bed or Montessori bed is a playful and suitable option.

From 3 years old, your child gains confidence. Our 3-year-old children's beds combine safety and more assertive design. The models offered at Chambrekids include mid-height beds for the more adventurous, daybed-style beds, or beds with built-in storage for significant space savings.

Around 4 years old, the possibilities expand with 4-year-old children's beds. Your child can access more complex beds such as the mid-height bed with storage, the mezzanine bed with desk (if the child is ready) or a daybed to anticipate the years to come.

Mezzanine bed

The mezzanine bed is ideal for optimizing floor space. Thanks to its height, it allows for a desk, a reading corner, or storage underneath. Bunk bed 

Designed for families with multiple children sharing a room, the bunk bed allows vertical double sleeping without loss of space. Available with storage drawer or trundle drawer, it can even transform into a 3-person bunk bed. Safety is ensured by rails and a solid ladder. To be used from 6 years old for elevated sleeping.

Mid-height bed

Between the classic bed and the mezzanine, the mid-height bed is a versatile option. It leaves space under the bed for storage or a play area. Some models include a sliding desk or built-in drawers. Ideal from 6 years old.

Low bed 

The low bed is the perfect choice for the youngest. Close to the ground, it limits the risk of falls and promotes autonomy. It is often used in a Montessori approach. At Chambrekids, you will find low beds with a soft aesthetic, sometimes inspired by nature or the Scandinavian universe.

House bed 

Inspired by the Montessori method, the house bed combines autonomy, play, and imagination. Its little house shape stimulates children's imagination. Available in floor-level or elevated versions, it is perfectly suitable from 2 years old. A must-have for a warm bedroom.


Montessori bed

As for the Montessori bed, it allows your child a certain autonomy with a bed base close to the floor, giving them the freedom to use their bed as they wish at any time. More playful and original, the house bed, inspired by the Montessori bed in the shape of a house, offers a real playground and allows your child to fully flourish in their room.


Convertible children's bed 

The convertible bed is an economical and sustainable solution. Designed to follow your child's growth, it starts in 90x140 cm format with safety rails. Then, it extends to 90x190 cm thanks to a provided kit. Perfect for a smooth transition, it avoids several successive purchases. You will find at Chambrekids sober or playful design models, with or without storage.


Children's trundle bed 

The trundle bed is an ingenious model. Under the main bed hides a second retractable sleeping space. Practical for guests or siblings, it quickly transforms into a double bed. It is offered in dimensions 90x190 and 90x200 to suit all needs. You can also opt for a daybed version, ideal for a multifunctional room.

The children's storage bed is an all-in-one solution. Thanks to its lift-up bed base, it offers a large storage volume under the mattress. Ideal for compact bedrooms or for storing sheets, toys, or off-season clothes. Available in several styles, it combines design and practicality.

The children's bed with storage is designed for families seeking order. Drawers, niches, or compartments are integrated directly into the bed frame, allowing space to be freed up in the room. You will also find models with built-in bookshelf.

Children's bed with desk

A real space saver: the children's bed with desk allows your child to have a work area integrated into their sleeping space. Perfect for school-age children, it combines ergonomics, design, and functionality. Chambrekids models often combine storage and desk for an optimized room.


How to choose the size of a children's bed?

The dimensions of children's beds can vary depending on the child's age and size. While we offer a bed size of 80x200 cm, the standard size of a children's bed is 90x190cm.

You will also find children's beds in 70x140cm dimensions for the little ones. This dimension allows them to have a smooth transition from the crib to a larger bed. With the same goal of transition and to adapt to the child's development, there are also 90x140cm beds that convert into 90x190cm beds.

You will of course find many of our 90x190cm children's bed models. Finally, for older children, you will find 90x200cm beds to accompany them into adolescence.


How to properly secure a children's bed?

While your child's comfort and sleep quality are essential to us, their safety regarding the bed is at the heart of our concerns. 

First of all, you should know that all our children's beds strictly comply with European safety standards and are CE certified. Nevertheless, to maximize your child's nighttime safety, there are several possibilities.

The first solution is to add a bed rail that slides between the bed and the mattress and thus does not require fixing. The second solution is to opt for a good quality mattress that is respectful of your children's health. By adopting the right practices, you can also secure the children's room against allergens.

What is the best mattress for a children's bed? 

For your child to easily fall asleep and have good nights in their room, it is essential to make the right mattress choice. Indeed, from a very young age, your child will spend many hours in their bed.

That's why Chambrekids has decided to partner with a French mattress manufacturer located very close to our factory. We have chosen, for our beds, mattresses that comply with French standards in both their foams and fabrics used. Made from Bamboo viscose or organic Cotton, we offer healthy and respectful mattresses for the health of babies and children.

All our mattresses are adapted to each children's bed model and each sleeping dimension. You will also need to match the mattress that suits the dimensions of the slatted bed base.

Why choose a wooden children's bed?

The choice of material for the children's bed is an important element to consider. Wood is a popular option for several reasons. First of all, wood is durable and shock-resistant, making it suitable for active children.

Wood also offers a warm and natural appearance that harmonizes with many decorating styles. In addition, wooden beds are made from solid wood or ecological reconstituted wood panels, offering additional strength and robustness.

We exclusively offer natural and sustainable wood from eco-managed forests, such as pine, beech, oak, and walnut. The slats of our bed bases are also made from solid pine.

We manufacture quality furniture made from ecological wood in our own factory, located near La Rochelle. As mentioned previously, the wood panels we use in the manufacture of our children's beds come from eco-managed forests and have a very low formaldehyde content. These are therefore beds that respect both your children's health and our planet.

Moreover, regardless of the color of your children's bed, we apply a water-based paint without solvents or volatile organic compounds. A paint that has no odor and is not toxic for children.
