The bed with storage is similar to a classic double bed but its particularity lies under its base. Indeed, in most bedrooms, the space under the bed is either unused or poorly optimized, and items under your bed collect dust.

By choosing a storage bed, you benefit from several advantages that allow you to declutter your room.

A real space saver, the storage bed allows you to hide under the bed all the items you don't need on a daily basis such as your bed linen, winter clothes, extra duvets and pillows, etc.

The storage bed provides real space optimization in your room unlike a trundle bed, for example. Indeed, this adult bed uses vertical space rather than floor space to deploy its storage. This is very practical for rooms with a small area.

Another feature of our bed storage compartments is that they are equipped with a bottom, which protects the items you have stored from dust.

Depending on the dimensions of the storage bed you choose, the storage volume is different. Our storage bed without headboard is available in 160x200 cm and 140x200 cm versions. We also have a 90x200 cm children's bed version perfect for children's rooms.

Manufactured in France in our factory, our storage beds are made of wood from French eco-managed forests certified PEFC. You can therefore be certain that with these wooden beds, you are choosing sturdy and quality furniture that will last over time.

How to organize storage in a storage bed?

To have an optimized and efficient storage space under your bed, here are some tips:

• Storage boxes or vacuum storage bags are perfectly suited for bulky bedding such as duvets or pillows.
• Compartmentalized storage is also very practical for separating and folding all your belongings. This way, your items are protected and do not wrinkle.
• To separate summer and winter shoes, you can use shoe organizers that will allow you to neatly organize all your pairs of shoes under your bed.

We recommend labeling your different storage boxes to allow you to find your way around more easily when accessing the bed storage. 

How to open and close a storage bed?

Our storage beds are equipped with 2 powerful hydraulic cylinders (1250 newtons each). To access the storage space, simply pull the bed base upwards. The cylinder system locks automatically to allow you to easily access the storage compartment without having to hold the bed base up.

Note that during assembly, the storage bed remains in an open position until you place your mattress on the bed base. Once the mattress is installed, you will be able to open and close the bed without needing to remove the mattress.

What type of mattress to choose for a storage bed base?

For your storage bed, you can choose the mattress you want, respecting the dimensions of the adult bed you choose.

Whether for a 160x200 or 140x200 storage bed dimension, we recommend opting for a mattress of about 22 cm thick. A substantial thickness guarantees comfortable and restful nights. Discover our range of mattresses to help you in your choice.

To protect and thus maintain a healthy mattress, we have equipped the bed bases of our storage beds with 4 ventilation holes that allow moisture to escape easily. You will be able to keep your mattress for several years.
